Volunteer drivers

VASA volunteer drivers have been doing volunteer driving for just over 40 years, over 150 volunteers across 3 districts in Warwickshire using their own vehicles to take people who have no other suitable form of transport to medical appointments and to help with getting people living with dementia to their day care settings. Some are still available to help with picking up prescriptions for those who are vulnerable or shielded. There is a standard operating procedure set up by public health and the lead pharmacist to ensure the safety of the patient, volunteers are provided with a lot of sensitive data, names, addresses and as such have strict guidelines to follow and are DBS checked. There are a lot of vulnerable people and their safety is paramount. If you know of anyone who is shielded or vulnerable that needs help with prescription collection call 01789 613458. Thank you
